The Mountain Amateur Radio club is located at 1298 Jack Dayton Circle in Hiawassee Georgia. Our club meets
on the first Monday of every month at 6:30 PM. We look forward to welcoming new members to our club, and
membership is open to all that have an interest in Amateur Radio and those that wish to attain an Amateur
Radio license.
The KI4ENN Repeater is supported by our local club, the Mountain Amateur Radio Club (MARC). W4VFZ is the
Trustee and License holder for this station, . The KI4ENN Repeater was originally the N4WCO Repeater,but was
re-licensed and re-coordinated to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee, Georgia, through SERA by Alton Higgins, W4VFZ,
GA ARES EC for Towns County.
The KI4ENN repeater participates in GA ARES nets, and welcomes all ham QSOs. It provides 2 meter
communications within mountainous Towns County, as well as
neighboring counties, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Our
local ham radio club, MARC, meets in the old 911 Center in
Hiawassee, GA., with a "Radio Room" for our fixed Base
station (KI4ENN), complete with a tower, generator, and
monster UPS system, thanks to support from Towns County
and our County Commissioner, Bill Kendall. This station is
equipped for VHF and HF equipment, and available 24/7 for
MARC members.
